Beau Sam is a self-taught director with a background in drawing and painting. His playful, witty work—marked by spontaneity and heart—has attracted collaborations with brands including Apple, Calvin Klein, Saks Fifth Avenue, Kiehl’s, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret Pink, Uniqlo, Victoria Beckham, Vogue and W magazines.
Beau began his career as a styling assistant at Vogue, working under the legendary André Leon Talley and Tonne Goodman. Behind the scenes, he began filming video and social content on set—an instinctive move that ultimately led to him launching Vogue’s video department and shaping the tone and language of its digital platforms.
Now a director, Beau approaches each project like a puzzle—using research, intuition, and past experience to craft cohesive, story-driven films. He’s deeply involved from ideation through post-production, ensuring each project aligns with a brand’s vision.
In his spare time, he enjoys seeing theatre and exhibitions, running through Central Park, and cycling up the West Side Highway.
He lives and works in Greenwich Village, New York.
